About

My name is Bianca Mercurio and I am an Executive Assistant for The Bridgespan Group in San Francisco, California. I am a Bay Area native and I hold a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) in English from the University of California, Davis.  My major’s emphasis was in Literary Theory and Criticism. I also studied philosophy extensively.  My mother is from Austria, so I have dual citizenship to the USA and Austria.  Growing up, I danced ballet for 11 years.  Ballet taught me discipline and helped me cultivate a deep appreciation for the arts.

My passions are multi-faceted, but mostly relate to poetry, beauty, and love.  Life should be led as rosy as possible. We have one life to live, and it’s our responsibility to be as bold in how we live it as we choose.  Inspiring and lifting one another up is a true achievement to me.  Doing good by helping those who are less fortunate, especially the homeless, lead dignified lives is incredibly important. It is by acknowledging our humanity and the state of humanity that is the first step to solving these issues together.

In the challenging times that we are facing globally, it’s more important than ever for people to be kind to one another.  The social responsibility we have to one another is very real.  I believe in the role that philanthropy plays in solving some of the world’s most challenging problems.  I also believe in the relationship between the public and private sectors in having accountability to one another.  If we collectively work and advocate towards a shared understanding of the higher purpose for civic engagement, we can make the world a better place.  I seek to bring some rosiness everywhere I go.

In rosiness,

Bianca
